God the Eternal Father

the baptism of Jesus revealing the Father, Son, and Spirit

Our Father who art in heaven...

If nothing had ever been created. If no man had ever existed or fathered a child. God would still be a "Father." Fatherhood is not something "God lifted" from humanity to reveal an aspect of himself to us. Rather "God gifted" humanity with fatherhood in order to reveal to us his eternal Fatherhood.

I'm serious, this dude put up this release of himself singing (barely) to other songs playing poorly in the background. I'd say this was a find ... the fact that he cannot recall all the lyrics, etc. and such ... I'm not sure but the guy just might be a genius ... a genius I tell you :)

Fwd Files: A Pinch of Gun Powder (Tough in Texas)

A tough old cowboy from south Texas counseled his grandson that if he wanted to live a long life, the secret was to sprinkle a pinch of gunpowder on his oatmeal every morning.
The grandson followed this advice religiously until the day he died at age 103.

He left behind 14 children, 30 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, 24 great-great-grandchildren, and a 15-foot hole where the crematorium used to be.

Mark Tapscott: Sarah Palin is miles ahead of every other politician in America | Washington Examiner

"That doesn't mean I think Palin is or even should be a candidate for president or any other elective office in 2012 or any other time. What it does mean is I believe Palin has a unique insight into the state of things and is moving systematically and intelligently in concert with that insight. Where that leads, nobody, including Palin, likely knows at this point."

Andy Richter's Dead Pan Perfect Comedic Timing

The following video clip is one reason I am a huge fan of Andy Richter and Conan. I watched them both when they started out - and became one of their early fans - before they worked out the formula the first time around on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Yeah, Conan's show was slow to take off - but their comedic timing was evident and once they owned the show - it was truly amazing. NBC should remember this stuff - they're not doing Leno any favors or themselves. Anyway, here's the video:

Larry Elder : Harry Reid Apologizes to Blacks for ... What? - Townhall.com

"Negro"? The term is on this year's census. What about the United Negro College Fund?

"No Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one"? Last January, National Public Radio interviewed black Obama supporter and linguistics professor John McWhorter. He said: "(Obama) is a very bidialectal person. ... He can talk in a way where you would not know that he was black over the phone. ... But then, especially when he talks to a black audience, he can sound quite a bit like (Martin Luther King colleague) Rev. Lowry sounded at the inauguration."

Now, if Sen. Reid wishes to apologize for something real -- such as the budget-breaking abomination of ObamaCare or his shady self-enriching Nevada real estate deals -- I'll take the call.

What the GOP Can Learn from a Pizza Chain by Jonah Goldberg on National Review Online

The appeal of the campaign should be obvious: honesty. Domino’s admits they lost their way, and they want a second chance. They’re confronting the criticism head-on rather than denying it.

Obviously, the analogy to the GOP isn’t perfect. For example, last I checked, Domino’s didn’t get bogged down in an unpopular war.

But the GOP’s troubles over the last decade have a lot to do with the fact that Americans didn’t stop liking what the Republican party is supposed to deliver. They stopped liking what the GOP actually delivered.
