I was reminded tonight of one of the more awesome books that I have read over the years. It is about the power of love to transform.  Phillip Keller's Lessons From A Sheep Dog - I highly recommend it.

If nothing had ever been created. If no man had ever existed or fathered a child. God would still be a "Father." Fatherhood is not something "God lifted" from humanity to reveal an aspect of himself to us. Rather "God gifted" humanity with fatherhood in order to reveal to us his eternal Fatherhood.
